Breathe Easy Aims

Respiratory and chronic health conditions are a 24 hour a day, 365 days a year debilitating condition.

In the majority of cases the condition is irreversible, and deteriorates over time.

Because the Breathe Easy group is made up of both sufferers and carers, we know how much these conditions impact on the quality of life.

Our aim is to support suffers and carers within the community, it is something we all need, during some stages in our lives. For sufferers and carers, there is a need for support to cope with the difficulties of chronic health conditions.

To help those who feel stress and concerns about what the future holds.

To have the opportunity to learn about their; conditions, therapy, managing and control of symptoms, avoiding and/or coping with triggers that may cause an exacerbation, and to meet with others to share experiences.

To provide information on the different health conditions and information to reinforce the information learnt from the doctors.

Access updated information

To assist sufferers and carers to understand the aspects of their conditions

Provide a regular forum, when we can meet with other people with simular conditions, exchange information and experiences, how to manage and adapt to their conditions. Benefiting from the knowledge of others.

To promote education in the community about the causes of a range of health conditions.

Inform and promote life style changes, such as diet and exercise, to keep as fit as possible to cope with life

Support is all about helping to manage and control symptoms; a chronic health condition can be a very stressful event in life. Apart from the physical symptoms, sufferers, and their carers, may feel depressed, anxious, worried, isolated and confused Support is to help overcome these feelings, feel more personal confidence and improve the quality of life.

To experience the satisfaction of helping others in distress. Sometimes focusing our energy on helping others is the best therapy for overcoming our own troubled feelings.
